The ABC for You and Me is a great way for children to play with words and the letters of the alphabet. The players travel the board collecting letters by making words out of one letter from the alphabet: "L" is for "Ladybird". And by identifying words by category: animals, names, plants and fruit, and things. At the end of the game the person who has collected the cards with which they can spell the longest word wins.
The game shows the players that spelling and words can be fun and rewarding. It enriches the vocabulary of the players (especially if they play alongside adults or older children). It aids comprehension and encourages imagination and also helps them to learn about identification and classification.
